The Iconic Star

Star of the Seas is a cruise ship built for Royal Caribbean International by Meyer Turku Shipyard and the second Icon class cruise ship. The ship also shares the title of the largest cruise ship in the world with her sister ship Icon of the Seas. Star of the Seas is also Royal Caribbean’s third ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and features a line-up of industry-leading environmental programs with applications ranging from waste heat recovery systems to shore power connection.

Helmacab was the main cable supplier producing and delivering over 6000 km of cables on time and according to Meyer Turku Shipyard’s production schedule. Helmacab covered the full scope of low voltage power and instrumentation cabling needs for the project.
