Did you know that our CAT cables are available ex stock?
HELKAMA CAT pedigree
Our range of Ethernet cables includes Marine approved CATs and special CAT’s for those hot and demanding situations, and for when you require the extra durability and tensile strength of a tougher CAT. Ex stock – No lead times, no delays.
CAT 6: Provides a significant improvement in performance over CAT 5e. CAT 6 is more tightly wound. It has an outer foil or braided shielding to protect the twisted pairs of wires, and to help to prevent crosstalk and noise interference.
CAT 6A: The a stands for Augmented, CAT 6A cables are able to support twice the maximum bandwidth, and capable of maintaining higher transmission speeds over longer network cable lengths.
CAT 6 FR: A fire-resistant CAT 6 cable, with the cable design and structure that complies with the circuit integrity performance during a fire (IEC 60331-23 and IEC 60331-2). It will continue to transmit data even during the fire.
CAT 7: ISO/IEC 11801 Class F cabling. Four individually shielded pairs inside an overall shield. Aimed at applications where transmission of frequencies up to 600 MHz is required.
CAT 7A: Four individually shielded pairs inside an overall shield. Aimed at media applications where transmission of frequencies up to 1500 MHz is required.
CAT 7 PUR: The Polyurethane compound sheath material (PUR) separates the HELKAMA CAT 7 PUR S/FTP from other CATs. It is resistant to abrasion, has good mechanical characteristics and high tensile strength. The sheath material also gives the cable added attributes, such as resistance to UV, mud, oil, chemicals and other fluids. The CAT 7 PUR can be used in more demanding environments, and even in offshore applications.
When it comes to connection, we’re the CAT’s pajamas.
If you’re running around faster than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, let us help. Our stock levels are like our customer service – a cat above the others. So, who you gonna call? No, not them. Our customer care team.
