Helmacab Renews Main Supplier Agreement with Meyer Turku
New frame agreement extends a partnership with one of the world’s leading cruise shipbuilders and reinforces Helmacab’s role in delivering cables for some the world’s most advanced cruise ships
Helmacab and Meyer Turku have signed a new frame agreement extending their long-standing collaboration until the end of 2029. Under the agreement, Helmacab will continue as the main marine cable supplier for all vessels built at Meyer Turku during the contract period.
The renewed agreement builds on a partnership that began in 2017. Since then, Helmacab has manufactured and delivered more than 40,000 kilometres of marine cables for 14 vessels completed or currently under construction at Meyer Turku shipyard, supporting the successful delivery of some of the world’s most iconic cruise vessels.
“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved together with Meyer Turku over the years,” says Sami-Pekka Arlin, Sales Manager at Helmacab. “Building cruise vessels is a complex process, and success depends on partners being able to communicate openly, react quickly when plans change and deliver what was promised. Delivering beyond cables
Operating in the demanding shipbuilding industry requires more than supplying products. Large vessel projects involve complex schedules, changing requirements and tight delivery windows, making flexibility, reliability and rapid response essential throughout the construction process.
“Our role is to ensure our customers can rely on us when plans evolve and schedules shift, as they often do in major shipbuilding projects,” says Arlin. “As a partner, our job goes beyond delivering cables.
