SH Vega

Ice-class excellence

SH Vega is an ice-class expedition vessel built for Swan Hellenic Cruises by Helsinki Shipyard and designed for operation in extreme weather conditions from tropical climates to polar regions with heavy ice fields. The Vega Class expedition vessel has a PC5 ice-strengthened hull and features diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system with selective catalytic reduction. The vessel is designed for 5-star luxury with spacious cabins and suites, many with balconies. 

Helmacab was the main cable supplier producing and delivering several hundred kilometers of cables on time and according to Helsinki Shipyard’s production schedule. Helmacab covered the full scope of power and instrumentation cabling needs for the project.
